Wick's Feeds the 2016 Kentucky Derby Festival Princesses
| Ashley IsaacsLiving in Kentuckiana, you must be familiar with the Kentucky Derby Festival, one of the largest and most prestigious civic celebrations in the United States? Well, each year, five young women are selected to serve as ambassadors for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Kentucky Derby Festival. The Princesses meet state and local dignitaries, celebrities, and the diverse population that celebrates this international festival.
The program is a scholarship competition. There were over 100 applicants for these five positions on the Royal Court. Applicants must be enrolled in college full time, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be a resident of Kentucky or Southern Indiana.
On Sunday, 1/10/2016, the 2016 Royal Court began their duties with an all-day prep session and photo shoot at the Palace. That evening, the Princesses let their hair down (no pun intended), and Wick's was there to get the party started!
Congratulations to these fine young ladies and we wish you best of luck in the upcoming festival!
