In 2001, 3 friends in Louisville, Kentucky decided to put together a classic rock band playing all the songs they loved while growing up. Everyone said it couldn’t be done, but Dave Ernspiker, Jaymes St. James, and David Loyd Williams Jr. were determined to do just that. They created a classic rock band that played all the songs you know and love.
In May of 2008 Jaymes decided to move to Florida and in came bassist/vocalist Ronnie “Bulldog” Watchmaker. “Bulldog”s vocal range, thundering bass, and showmanship brought new life to the band. The rock continued to roll as the BIG ROCK SHOW continued to get bigger.....
On April 9,2009 tragedy struck the band when founding member Dave Ernspiker passed away from a heart attack in his sleep. He is loved and missed by all!! The search for a new guitar player began.....
Very few people could play “over the top” like Dave, and have charisma, and be fun to be around. In walks Kevin McCreery from Outspoken and Tantric.....WOW!!!! Kevin is easily one of the best guitarists in town and also brings in a great dynamic with his vocals and all around fun attitude!
In June of 2011 Kevin McCreery was picked up to play lead guitar for national recording/touring artist Uncle Kracker and the search began again....
On July 1st the BIG ROCK SHOW got even bigger when guitarist Jon Huffman from Fire Dept., Sweet F.A., 99 MPH and the list goes on, decided to join the band!! Jon’s energy he brings to the stage each and every night has taken the BIG ROCK SHOW to a new level. It was truly now a BIG ROCK SHOW!!!!
It's September, 2013 and the guys have decided it's time to make the BIG ROCK SHOW even bigger! The band decides to go 4 piece! Chip Adams who has been a sub for Ronnie for a few years is added on bass guitar and Ronnie switches to rhythm guitar/lead vocalist/keyboardist for the band. Chip has played and toured with numerous acts including Henry Lee Summer, Edenstreet, Spanky Lee, Avantgardedog, Strumbeat, Bryan Fox, etc. Chips musicianship and showmanship along with his vocal ability will take the band to all new heights!!!
Almost 13 years and over 3000 shows in the making and the band is better than ever and rocking on as Dave would want them to! If you haven’t seen the BIG ROCK SHOW live you need to get out and experience it for yourself.....it is the best of the best in classic rock! Hope to see you at a show soon. PLAY LOUD!!!
